5-9 million votes not transmitted during 2010 elections

At least 5 million votes were found out to be not transmitted during the 2010 elections, a study by information technology students shows.

The study, which was done by IT students of the Asia Pacific College, documented the precints which did not transmit during the country’s first automated election. Click here to view the database.

According to the study, the possible reasons of failure in transmission include:
* Lack of Paraphernalia
* Malfunctioning PCOS Machine
* Energy Problems
* Transportation / Delivery Problems and Delays
* No Network Signal
* Intentional Signal Jamming

The huge number of votes missing reasonably casts doubt on the supposed “success” of the 2010 automated elections, and even on the landslide victory by President Benigno Aquino III.
